Abstract
In this study, we developed and conducted six lessons on consumer education for high school students. The lessons were developed with the help of individuals from various specialization, such as high school teachers, university professors, lawyers, and counselors for consumer issues. The results indicate that most students showed high self-assessment of their attitudes, knowledge, and achievements. In particular, students with a number of interests showed high achievement. As for the growth process of human beings, which consists of three stages, namely “the state of mind and activities,” “setting and acquisition of values,” and “self-creation,” the students acquired a high growth process of “self-creation” after several lessons. We divided the students into four groups based on their information activities. As a result, we found that students with high utility of information showed high self-assessment in their attitudes.
