Abstract
BCC lattice model is introduced to describe efficiently melting transition of Si.To incorporate realistic many-body interaction into account, Tersoff potential is renormalized on the lattice to be applied. Good agreements are obtained for liquidsolid transition temperature and thermodynamic properlies between the present lattice Monte Carlo and previous Molecular Dynamics results.
