Abstract
The magnetic force was used similarly to the centnfugal force in a space shuttle to virtually change the level of gravity. The number of crystals precipitated from the solution was found to increase or decrease, respectively, when the additional force (0.05 G)was applied in the same or opposite direction to normal gravity. This result indicates that the magnitude of gravity can in fact affect the protein crystal growth.
