Abstract
Single crystals of SBN were grown by means of the floating zone method The congruent composition of SBN was studied by the slow cooling of the melt zone and found to be close to x=0.61, y=0.4985 for (Sr_xBa_<1-x>O)_<1-y>(Nb_2O_5)_y.
