19aA07 Size control and singular growth condition metallic cluster covered with insulator layer(NCCG-35)

Abstract

The metallic clusters covered with insulator layer have been produced for Ag and Pb by the gas evaporation method. The comet-like particles were obtained only in the eutectic system of Ag-Si on the sufficient amount of SiO powder mixture against Ag powder. The metallic clusters less than a few nm covered with SiO layer were produced. The formation of Pb clusters covered with insulator layer may open the new nanoparticle application against noble metal.
