Smoke particles of rhombohedral metals As, Sb and Bi were prepared by evaporation and condensation in rarefied inactive gas, and they were studied by electron microscopy. Particles of As were spherical and amorphous. Those of Sb showed the following crystal habits, 1) Trigonal pyramids and their truncated shapes, 2) Spheres and isometric polyhedra, and 3) Three kinds of twins. Particles of Bi showed 1) and 2), but no twins.
