Abstract
In order to understand and to be aware of our own way of living, it is very important to compare our way with others.Therefore, this approach is also necessary in home economics education.Various kinds of information about cross-cultural ways of living were collected for promotion of this approach, and a database was constructed with them.Information search was tried concerning family and life relating with clothing in home economics education in junior high school.The results were interesting, instructive and attractive for students, and supported the effectiveness of the approach.
