Abstract
This survey examined teachers' uneasiness on the teaching of homemaking by practice of coeducation.A questionnaire was sent to the teachers of senior high schools in Tohoku six prefectures.We received 139 responses in 1991 and 1996 respectively. The results were as follows: 1.Teachers' affirmative opinion to coeducation changed from 80.6% to 94.3% in the second investigation, negative opinion decreased 12.2% in the latter. 2.Teachers' uneasiness about the teaching of homemaking decreased on clothing construction and home project in the second survey.But on cooking, 23.2% of increase was seen in the second. 3.The same teaching materials have been learned in elementary, junior high and senior high schools repeatedly, but the 68.3% of the teachers did not show negative opinion about this matter.
