Abstract

Rubus japonicus [unranked] tricolor (Rosaceae) published in the Gardeners’ Chronicle in 1894 is a variegated taxon. A new combination, R. crataegifolius f. tricolor (Mast.) Naruh. is proposed, and lectotypified with a drawing in the protologue.
