A simple polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis utilizing slides for biological education: Apparatus and experimental procedure

Abstract

A new method of simple polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis for biological education was developed. This new method has several merits as follows. 1) The appratus could be made ofonly utilize materials, e. g., slides, acryl plate, acryl stick, stainless wire, food-containers, terminals, and so on. 2) The experimental procedure is more simplified than ordinary polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis methods. 3) The experiment can be performed within about 90 min. In this paper, the apparatus, experimental procedure, and the examples ofthe experiments are described in detail.
