Abstract
Retractions of an original article and an attached map of the journal "Map" Vol.48 No.3

In response to the requests for the retractions from the authors of an original article and explanation of attached map “Yasumura, S., Nakai, T., Shimazaki, H. and Shibata, T. 2010. GIS-based Biodiversity Mapping in the Nansei Shoto Ecoregion. Map 48(3):12-20.” and from the presenter of an attached map “Nansei Shoto Ecoregion Map” due to a substantial ethical fault in their preparations, the Editorial Committee of the Japan Cartographers Association (JCA) have concluded upon their invalidation. Above mentioned article and attached map shall not be referred to as the publications in the journal “Map” hereafter.
