Abstract
Although port site hernia is a rare complication of laparoscopic surgery, several cases have been reported with increased number of laparoscopic surgery. Here, we present three cases of port site hernia. Case 1; A 64-year-old male who complained right abdominal discharge 9 days after sigmoidectomy was diagnosed with a small intestinal hernia through a 12 mm port site. Case 2; A 69-year-old female who complained left lower abdominal pain and palpable mass 2 days after ileocecal and left colic resection was diagnosed with a strangulated small intestinal hernia through a 12 mm port site. Case 3; A 76-year-old male who complained left lower abdominal palpable mass 18 days after ileocecal resection was diagnosed with a small intestinal hernia through a 5 mm port site.
