Abstract
We report a relatively rare case of multiple metastatic ileocecal cancer which occurred2 years 2 months after gastric cancer surgery. A 73-year-old woman admitted to the chief complaint of bleeding with bowel movements. Colonoscopy is showedsubmucosal tumor in cecum and ileum terminal, which was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma(por1) on biopsy. We performed colectomy and finally diagnosed metastatic colorectal cancer from gastric cancer which underwent previous surgery by histopathological findings. We investigatedreports of colorectal from gastric cancer, which show high proportion of signet ring cell carcinoma and poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma histologically. In case of metachronous, median span of onset from gastric cancer surgery was 54.6 months, and about fetal cases, median prognosis from colectomy was 15.3months. It seems that we need to consider that metastatic colorectal cancer in mind when we find signet ring cell carcinoma or poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma in the colorectal tumor.
