Abstract

The operator's seat on construction machinery is required to be comfortable, but there have been few research reports on this subject. The purpose of this study is to derive a development index by quantifying the seating comfort. In this study, 67 operators with experience in operating construction machinery were subjectively evaluated for sitting comfort in a static posture on 11 operator's seats available in the market. From the evaluation results, items that affect sitting comfort were extracted, and the relationship between each item was confirmed.
