Abstract

To consider collision accidents at intersections involving older drivers, 25 younger and 24 older people observed various movies passing through an intersection using a HMD to record their driving behaviors. However, devices that add weight to the observers' heads might influence their driving posture. The head and back angles showed no differences between conditions with and without the HMD for both age groups, even when visual or physical discomfort was reported.
