The effects on human performance of an aural display in the multi-variable manual control system are presented. The objective of this study are to investigate the behavior of the human controller using an aural display system (V-A system) and to compare this system with visual display system (V-V system) in simulated multi-loop VTOL hovering task in terms of manual control performance.
The results show that the aural display system improves the quality of manual control in multi-variable control system.
