Abstract
A hydramethylnon bait formulation SIEGE ® GEL (SG), for the German cockroach, Blattella germanica (L.), was evaluated in laboratory experiments. When adult females were exposed to SG for 1 hour, it caused an ca. 80% rate of regurgitating behavior; the majority being observed within 1 day. In a continuous exposure test, the secondary insecticidal activity of moist substances regurgitated by female adults within 1 hour against first and fourth to fifth instar nymphs was higher than that of dry substances during the following 5 days.
