Abstract
We report a case of a 56-year-old woman with intraductal papillary mucinous carcinoma (IPMC) penetrating into the stomach, duodenum and colon. She visited our hospital with a complaint of abdominal distention. Abdominal CT showed IPMC, 16 cm in diameter, occupying the entire pancreas, with suspected tumor invasions to the stomach, duodenum and transverse colon. Upper endoscopic and colonoscopic examinations revealed the pancreatic tumor penetrating into the lumen of the stomach, duodenum and colon. We performed total pancreatectomy, total gastrectomy and colectomy. She is alive without recurrence for 22 months after the operation. It is known that some cases of IPMC form fistulae to adjacent organs. To our knowledge, this is the first case of IPMC penetrating to three adjacent organs.
