Abstract
56-year-old man caused the oral allergy symptoms of anaphylaxis after drinking soy milk, came to our hospital by ambulance. Birch pollen on serum specific IgE test was a class 2, and soy was class 3. In the prick-to-prick test, soy milk and tofu is positive. Bet v1 which is the main antigen of the birch is positive, and Glym4 which is a homolog of the major Antigen of the soybean is also positive. Therefore, it was suggested that it was oral allergy syndrome with the soybean milk which developed by these cross reaction. All cases of soy milk allergy have pollinosis and has many examples which have not caused an allergy by an intake of the tofu. Is soy milk allergy reported in all patients possess a Hay, with intake of tofu with a history of allergies not often. In diagnosis, prick-to-prick test is useful, soybean-specific IgE-positive rate is low. Oral allergy syndrome due to soy milk increase in recent years. It often presents the otolaryngology symptoms, and should be careful.
