Abstract

Tsuchiya et al, have been reporting the identification methods of Candida and other yeasts by means of serologic tests. In an attempt to confirm the usefulness, we asked them the serologic identification of the strains, identified morphologically and biologically in the clinic to which the auther belonged, without telling them my results obtained.
It was shown that of 106 test strains, 101 strains (97.1%) were identical with two exceptions which developed spontaneous agglutination. Thus it may be concluded that the serologic test is reliable in identification of Candida and other yeats.
