Abstract
Migrations, food and breeding habits of Eurystomus, Otus scops, Dendronanthus, Muscicapula c. cyanomelaena, Terpsiphone atrocaudata, Tetrastes, Halcyon coromanda, Ceryle lugubris, Halcyon pileata and Gallicrex cinerea are given. Lesser notes are Turdus aureus, Streptopelia decaocto, Erythrina erythrina, Larvivora sibilans, Capella stenura, C. gallinago, Eophona migratoria. Dr. Nagamichi Kuroda in a footnote states that E. erythrina is probably a mistake for E. rosea. Also gives an unauthenticated sight record of two Pseudotadorna in late March, 1943 in Chushinhokudo. These ducks fly like Ruddy Sheldrakes but wing pattern is more marked and shapes of head and neck are different.
