Abstract
Diagnosis. _??_ ad. Near to L. tetrix ussuriensis (Kohts) form Northern Manchuria, but distinguishable form it by the under tail-coverts being pinkish buff instead of white; the glossy parts of the plumage with strongerpurplish blue reflections; the size smaller, and the thighs and legs covered with light blackish brown feath-ers with many small white speckles.
The female differs form that of ussuriensis, by the size being smaller, and the under tail-coverts warm buff broadly barred with blackish brown.
The type specimen (adult male)is form eastern side of Mt. Hakuto, North Kankyo-do, korea, October 24, 1927. It is preserved in the collection of Mr. Sakae Katsura in Kyo-jo, North Kankyo-do in N. Korea.
Habitat: Probably confined to the mountainous parts of Northern Korea.
Measurements. -_??_ :wing, 260; tail, 205; tarsus, 45; culmen, 21.5.
