Hygrocybe griseonigricans (Agaricales) newly recorded in Japan

Abstract

We report a Hygrocybe species with dense black fibrils on a pileus and strong blackish discoloration. Based on macro- and microscopic characteristics and phylogenetic analysis, we identified this species as H. griseonigricans reported from China in 2020. This is the first report of H. griseonigricans from Japan.
