Abstract

After the Fukushima nuclear accident, three species of wild edible mushrooms were collected from Mt. Fuji. Concentration of radiocesium in these mushrooms were measured in relation to the aspects and altitudes of the collecting sites. The radiocesium levels of basidiomata was high at all altitudes on the east side of the mountain, especially those from the medium altitude sites. It was also high on the high and the medium altitude sites on the northeast side. Most of them showed low values on the north side, and the samples from the high altitude area especially tended to show low values.
