Cladobotryum arthrobotryoides, C. caribense and C. protrusum (Hypocreaceae Ascomycota) are newly reported in Japan. Cladobotryum arthrobotryoides is characterized by the holoblastic conidia formation at the apex of the sympodially proliferating conidiogenus cells with denticles each producing 0-3-septate conidia. Cladobotryum caribense is characterized by the basipetal conidial formation and bell-shaped conidia, and C. protrusum by the polyblastic conidia formation and the light green conidia and also producing red pigments. Detailed morphological descriptions and illustrations of these three species based on Japanese specimens are provided.
