The purpose of this report is to present a case of bilateral lipomatosis of the tongue. We report a case of a 66-years-old man, presented with multiple nodules arising bilaterally from the margin of the tongue. The nodules were elastic and hard, and the mucous of the tongue surface was normal. The patient underwent the glossectomy for the excisional biopsy on the bilateral nodules. There has been no sign of recurrence as of 1 year and 8 months after surgery. The patient had a previous illness of hypertension, hepatitis type B, hepatocirrhosis, hyperlipidemia and alcoholism. Lipomatosis of bilateral borders of the tongue was suggested to be associated with local factors.
