Abstract
We experienced a case of herpes zoster at an early stage involving the third branch of trigeminal nerve. The patient was a 62-year-old woman and visited complaining of pain and blister appearing at the left side of the cheek, tongue and lower lip.
Under the diagnosis of herpes zoster, aciclovir as an antiviral drug was administered. The drug was very effective and the patient was able to leave the hospital without any trouble such as postherpetic neuralgia and facial paralysis.
