Abstract
In this study, we compared the effects of sensory modalities and those of transcranial direct-current stimulation (tDCS) on reproduced durations, and also examined the usefulness of a temporal reproduction task in time perception performance measurements. Although our experiment demonstrated that reproduced durations were significantly lengthened when the standard stimulus was presented in an auditory modality, no significant differences were observed among the tDCS conditions. These results indicate that the temporal reproduction task can detect only large changes in reproduced durations, and it is therefore necessary to consider another evaluation index to focus on small changes in time perception performance.
