Abstract
In this study, we performed Rorschach test (comperehensive system) on ED (eating disorder) patients in order to reveal their psychological characteristics, and we discuss how we should approach their problems in ED treatment considering their characteristics. Rorschach test was administrated to 50 ED patiens, and a comparison was made with 240 non-patiens. The comparison showed that ED patients were more likely to be depressive, difficult to have positive relationships, and to have poor control of emotion, and have peculiar cognition. As a conclusion, in treatment of ED, we find it important to pay attention to their depression and try to modify their peculiar cognition to proper one. Group therapy will be effective in that they would experience positive relationships with other patients.
