Office teeth bleaching by using a laser is faster than by other methods, the stress on the patient is reduced, and the treatment is easier to obtain. Bleaching is known to have a chemical influence on the enamel surface, which becomes rough.
Therefore, in order to protect the rough enamel surface, a trial surface protection material was made. The interface between the enamel surface and the tooth surface protection material was observed and following conclusion were obtained.
It was shown that the enamel surface was well protected by spreading the surface protection material on the experimental tooth surface which had been roughened by the laser bleaching. In addition the laser office bleaching enabled long-term maintenance of the color tone, and it was clinically suggested that office bleaching treatment with laser has good potential.
