Abstract
Patient: A 69-years-old edentulous male patient visited with a chief complaint of repeated fracture of a lower complete denture. A new denture was fabricated to improve the denture base rigidity and to modify the shape of the polished surface and position of the artificial teeth arrangement.
Discussion: It seemed that the lower complete denture was broken repeatedly because the thickness in the central part was insubstantial there was not a reinforcement metal structure, and possibly the occlusal force was strong.
By Piezography method, we attempted to assemble the components requisite to improve strength including reinforcement of the metal structure.
Conclusion: In this case, a lower complete denture was successfully produced with high rigidity that might not obstruct the denture stability, by applying Piezography.
