Abstract
Patient: A 71-year-old woman came to our clinic complaining of discomfort and esthetic problem of upper and lower anterior region caused by implants inserted in inappropriate positions. For this case implant-retained removable dentures with telescope crowns and magnet attachments were applied. The patient was followed for > 5 years without any problems.
Discussion: Telescope crown may cause excessive stress for implants; however, in this case adequate maintenance including adjustments of occlusion and the fitness of denture base may have contributed to the long-time success.
Conclusion: Problems caused by implants inserted in inappropriate positions were overcome using implant-retained removable dentures with both telescope crowns and magnet attachments.
