Abstract
This study was carried out in order to statistically observe crowns and bridges which were fabricated for patients at the Prosthetic Clinic of Matsumoto Dental College during the 6-year period from January 1987 to December 1992. Some of the result were as follows 1. During the 6-year period, a yearly increase was noted. In total, there were 2, 892 patients during that time.
2. During the 6-year period, 5, 965 crowns and 1, 244 bridges were set. There was a noted increase in the final 2 years in the number of crowns and bridges that were set.
3. It was found that the number of both crowns and bridges decreased for patients in their twenties. Taking all patients, into account an increase in hard resin facing crown and a decrease in porcelain fused to metal crown were observed.
