Abstract
A virtual articulator was constructed on a computer monitor screen, from a stone dental model that was constructed by a 3 dimensional form measuring device and the measuring results of a submaxillary 6-degree-of-freedom movement. And a tracing of mandibular movements of a patient was reproduced. The relationship between mandibular movements and the occlusal pattern was visually constructed. Simulation of various occlusal conditions became possible by the virtual articulator at this time.
