Abstract
Community health survey was performed by Professor Yanagisawa et al of Tokyo Medical and Dental University in the summer of 1975 at Ikawa district, Shizuoka-prefecture. The author participated in dermatological investigation and found skin diseases in 25.9% of men and 31.6% of women examined. Dermatitis and eczema, chloasma, and tinea superficialis were the three common dermatoses among the, adults in the community. No dermatological signs suggestive of collagen diseases were observed.
