Abstract
We have evaluated the physical characteristics of the brain SPECT images using a texture analysis, and have analyzed them with the radius and angle direction distribution function in the power spectrum. When the amplitude of the frequency component of the brain phantom planar image to 100% was normalized, component in the measurement system varied from about 30 to 40% using various collimators and from about 20 to 30% using various radionuclides. Therefore, the radius and angle direction distribution function in the power spectrum may not only be good qualitative but quantitative as well for a SPECT image evaluation.
