A 79-year-old woman was urgently admitted to our hospital with sudden-onset stomach ache and vomiting. Abdominal contrast-enhanced computed tomography revealed a tumor with contrast effect in the small intestine, and we suspected bleeding from a small intestine aneurysm. Angiography failed to identify the tumor site. Emergency surgery was performed under laparoscopic guidance. A mass was palpated in the upper jejunum, and we performed partial resection of the jejunum. Histopathological examination revealed an unruptured submucosal aneurysm. Submucosal aneurysms of the small intestine are rare, and few cases of unruptured aneurysms have been reported. We report a case of an unruptured small intestinal submucosal aneurysm that was resected laparoscopically.
