Abstract
The effcct of acupuncture therapy applied on some disorder and pain cases were evaluated useing digital photoplesthymograpy.
Time constant of preamprifier for photoplesthymograpy was set 0.1 second to obtain stable records without mechanical or electrical interference during recording.
Right after introducing acupuncture needle from axilla to KENTEI for the shoulder joint pain case, the remarkable increase of amplitude of plesthymograpy recording was observed, and shoulder joint pain was disappeared. This results are very simillar to brachial plexus block.
Multiple light needle stimulations to the case of the burning-like-pain along pancreas meridian on lower extrimities also increased amplitude of photoplesthymogram and the pain was disappeared.
Effects of various kinds of stimulations, i. e., digital compression, insersion of needle, up-doun-mortion stimulation by needle, extraction of needle, and multiple needle stimulation were compaired and discussed.
