As an aspect of explaining the acupuncture therapeutic effect, fundamental testing if the influences of acupuncture stimulation on the immune system in the human body was attempted. At this time we'd like to present an in-progress report.
It was observed that following acupuncture stimulation there is an increase in both T lymph cells and B lymph cells and a downward tendency in Tr lymph cells and ADCC movement. However significant alterations were observed only in B lymph cell increases and the drop in ADCC movement (P<0.02, P<0.05 respectively).
In the future together with collecting numerous examples we'd like to test in the same manner every type of diseases to continue the study of the influence of acupuncture on the immune system of the human body.
