Several simplifications are done to the method proposed by Prof. Moriya (this Journal, Vol. 3, No. 9, 1936), and the induction factors are tabulated in Tables 2, 3 and 4 for prompt use. Some difficulties encountered in evaluating the graphical integration are dissolved.
As examples, calculations are carried out for propellers of pitch-diameter ratios 1 and 1.5, propellers of uniform circulation, propellers in not uniform stream and for propellers of various solidities.
