As we cannot neglect the fuel consumption during climb of jet aircraft, it is necessary to know its climbing performance at the beginning of the initial design in order to estimate the fuel capacity, range, gross weight and wing area. The author proposes a simple and pretty exact method of estimating its climb performances by equations (6·b), (11·a), (12·a), and (13·a).The differences between propeller-plane and jet-plane are also explained from the viewpoint of climbing velocity, climbingangle and the effect of wing loading on climb.
