Here, the body lift of moderately low aspect ratio wing-body combinations is calculated using the lifting surface theory and the weighting function of complex potential for slender wing-body combinations. The result is compared with Spreiter's theory for the body lift of very low aspect ratio wing-body combinations and other theories obtained from lifting line theory for high aspect ratio wing-body combinations. It is found that the result is valid over the whole range of the body diameterto-span ratio. Especially, it is a better approximation than the above mentioned theories over the range of AR=0-4.
