Role of Lawyers in Medical Institutions：From the Viewpoint of Medical Institution Managers

Abstract

Nara Medical University currently has contracts with three lawyers at university corporations and university hospital. University corporations mainly consult on various issues such as disciplinary actions related to staff and students. At hospital they are helpful for taking on various tasks such as litigation and participation in trials in addition to consultations regarding issues with patients. The role of lawyers in university corporations and hospitals is expected to increase in the future.
