Abstract
Background : Endometrioid adenocarcinoma combines the organizational form of sex-cord stromal tumors are rare.
Case : A woman in her eighth decade consulted a gynecologist because of a chief complaint of dysfunctional uterine bleeding and anemia. Clinically leiomyosarcoma or carcinosarcoma was suspected based on ultrasound tomography and MRI. She underwent total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. Microscopically, the tumor consisted of typical Endometrioid adenocarcinoma that accounted for 5%, component of sex-cord like feature for 10%, and solid part of uncertain differentiation for 85%, respectively. Immunohistochemical examination revealed that typical endometrioid glandular component was positive for EMA and the component of sex-cord like feature was positive for calretinin. ER and PR were diffusely positive in any of the tumor compornents. SMA, CD10 and cytokeratin were also positive but the extents of staining were not even.
Conclusion : Histological examination itself is very important to distinguish Endometrioid adenocarcinoma of uterine corpus with sex-cord like feature from other endometrial tumors. But there is no statement of a view with clear cell image, therefore all.
