Abstract

One autopsy case of malignant hemangiosarcoma is reported here. The patient is an 89-year-old Japanese man complaining of elevated blisterlike lesions of the complaining of elevated left scalp. Histology showed well differentiated cutaneous angiosarcoma. Ultrastructurally, the tumor had features of capillary endothelial cells including lateral desmosomelike attachments and Weibel-Palade bodies.
Cytologically, the cellular components were hemangioendothelial-like cells with epithelial-like arrangements accompanied by cell clusters.
