Abstract
The Ena Tunnel is the longest road tunnel, about 8, 500m. long, in Japan, for constructing a highway through Ena Devide connecting Tokyo with Nagoya.
This paper describes the methods and its process of geological survey to select the location of this tunnel. There is also included a brief statement of the location akd its geologey, as well as the some notes on the project of Chûô-dô(Highwa).
This paper was written before the completion of the project and the data in this paper used only up to 1965. The further survey has been carried by the Japan Highway Public Corporation.
