This paper for arch culvert are consists following two parts. Part 1: A method is presented for obtaining continuously the axial force, shearing force, bending moment, angle of deflection and deflection, in an arch culvert, unit length with a variable thickness. The solution, which was obtained by the use of elastica theory, involves the solving of a forth order differential equation for the elastica; and these numerical integral values can be computed by 5-8 rule.
Part 2: The results of obtained theory of elasticity and of photoelastic experiments are in good agreement.
