Abstract

The purpose of this study was to provide a suggestive perspective in understanding education to sport ethics well. By analysing the morally wrong situations in which student-athletes have actually percieved at their games, it was found that the situations were divided into the two different types of them. One type was a behavior to break a set of formal rules in particular game and another type was one to conflict with the ethos of game.
With reference to D'Agostino's theory, we examined an ideal game by spliting a game into four phases: that is (1) permissible and acceptable, (2) permissible but unacceptable, (3) impermissible but acceptable and (4) impermissible and unacceptable.
As Fraleigh indicated, sport in education must not be simply a reiteration of sport in society, but be sport which is better than sport in society. Thus, it was concluded that we should intend to increase permissible and acceptable phrase in a game and to educate the good ethos of the parties in sport.
