Abstract

It has been recently found that Muskingum-Cunge method, a river-water discharge simulation model, violates water conservation when its standard numerical calculation scheme is used. Since a modified scheme has been proposed in order to get rid of this difficulty, we have applied it to the Yellow River basin using a distributed runoff model, and proved its validity.
