Abstract
Generally, the inflow rate to a reservoir is calculated as a sum of the rate of storage change and the discharge from a reservoir. This method, however, may produce an illogical inflow by noise components such as seiche and wind waves. Authors installed many water level gauges at Jouzankei Dam Reservoir and measured simultaneously the water level. Behavior of seiche was observed at a real reservoir and authors discuss the method to filter noise components. Moreover, authors propose a new method to estimate the inflow rate to reservoir.
